Playgroups

Our playgroups cater for younger children aged 1-3 years of age and are run by an experienced, native English speaking play-leader.

The main aim of these classes is to offer children a playful and stimulating environment where they find their feet and begin to interact with their peers for the first time.

Children need to be accompanied by an adult to playgroup sessions.  In the Dragonfly class the accompanying adult must be a parent, the idea being that the session provides not only a playgroup for children but also an opportunity for like-minded parents to meet.

Dragonflies
For children aged 1 to 3 years of age

In this class children need to be accompanied by a parent

Tuesdays or Thursdays, 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Caterpillars
For children aged 1 to 3 years of age

In this class children need to be accompanied by a parent or other carer.

Tuesdays or Thursdays, 3.45pm to 5.15pm

  

Playgroup sessions offer free play in our spacious indoor and outdoor facilities with access to a great variety of toys and activities.

Playgroup sessions include:

  • Indoor play - Puzzles and toys, home corner
  • Outdoor play - ride on toys, slide, sand pit
  • Art and craft – painting and sticking
  • Sensory activities – play dough, water play
  • Group snack time
  • Story time, singing and dancing

Our playgroups are a great opportunity for your child to become familiar with SKIP, easing the transition into the unaccompanied kindergarten classes.
