Box of Hope – Children helping Children

Each year SKIP families participate in the Box of Hope – www.boxofhope.org – a lovely charity project that aims to provide useful and educational gifts to underprivileged children in Hong Kong and Asia and also teaches our own children the gift of giving.  We hope you would like to get involved this year and make a box with your family.

It is very simple to do…

…just wrap and decorate an old shoe box (or similarly sized cardboard box), fill it with new interesting and educational gifts, and drop off your box at SKIP before:  Monday 7 November 2016.  The boxes are then collected and delivered directly to children in need.

Details of the project, how it works, what to pack and NOT to pack can be found at http://boxofhope.org/info/children/how/en/ .  Box stickers are available for you to collect at SKIP.

In addition to the boxes, we will also be collecting extra hygiene and stationery items such as bars of soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, notebooks and pencils.  These items do not need to be put in a box and can be donated as well as, or instead of, a box.
