*****
Please join us for the Orangutan family walk starting at the Lions Nature Education Centre at 3pm and ending at SKIP.
Yellow is the theme, so you might like to come dressed in yellow or something orangutan inspired!
ARRANGEMENTS
From 2.50pm: Meet in the car park at the Lion’s Nature and Education Centre.
3.00pm: We will begin the walk together at 3.00pm following a trail of yellow markers and keeping our eyes open in the forest for orangutans! The walk is suitable for the under 5s and takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Families are free to finish the walk at their own pace – simply follow the yellow trail to SKIP.
3.15pm onwards: At SKIP for pizza, drinks and a play in the garden/bouncy castle. Mara McCaffery, founder of Orangutan Aid will join us at SKIP and is available to meet you and chat about the orangutans and the work of Orangutan Aid www.orangutanaid.com.
Donation: We ask for a $50 donation from each participating family (there will be a donation jar at the entrance of SKIP). All proceeds will go directly to Orangutan Aid.
No Parking: There is NO parking at the Hong Kong Marina at the weekends. Please note, too, that the car park at the Lions Centre is locked at 4pm.
Weather: We aim to run the event whatever the weather. If wet/showery, we will still do the walk, adapting the route as necessary. If the rain is very heavy or there are thunderstorms, please make your way directly to SKIP where we will still have food, drinks, the bouncy castle and some activities for the children. Please call the school number 2791 7354 after 1pm on Saturday to check for updates.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
